Salesforce, Google Cloud unveil AI, data partnership
Salesforce Inc. and Alphabet Inc.'s Google Cloud announced on Wednesday that they will integrate several services they offer to help businesses use data and artificial intelligence to improve customer experience and cut costs in their marketing, sales, service and commerce departments.
Merging Salesforce Data Cloud and Google BigQuery will give companies using these services "seamless data access across platforms and across clouds, akin to having their data housed in a single location," while integrations between Salesforce Data Cloud and Google Cloud's Vertex AI will help firms address "specific needs of their businesses - such as predicting buying behavior" of their own customers.
"This new partnership brings together one of the world's largest data clouds from Salesforce with analytics and AI capabilities from Google Cloud, and represents a significant leap forward in businesses' ability to generate more value and insights from their customer data," Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian commented on the deal.
