Salesforce Q3 revenue up 33% to $4.5B Inc. announced on Tuesday that its top line in the third fiscal quarter of 2019 landed at 4.51$ billion, topping Wall Street expectations, and rising 33% year-over-year.

The cloud computing giant's earnings per share also exceeded market estimates, landing at $0.75 versus $0.66 forecast, rising 22% year-over-year, while gross profit reached $3.38 billion, jumping 25% compared to the same period a year ago.

The company maintained its previous full-year revenue guidance.

"We're now on track to double our revenue in five years," Chairman and co-CEO Marc Benioff said commenting on the report.

Salesforce's shares dropped 1.83% in the after-hours trading following the release of the earnings report.
