Schumer: Congress to pass relief bill by March 14

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer asserted on Tuesday that Congress would deliver the $1.9 trillion stimulus package before unemployment benefits in the United States expire on March 14.

"We are working to quickly pass the American Rescue Plan and deliver urgent, bold COVID relief to Americans nationwide... Senate Republicans argue that we don’t need to deliver more COVID relief - that we did enough already. That couldn't be further from the truth. The worst thing we could do would be to slow down now before the race is won," Schumer insisted.

The latest outlook is indicating that the relief bill will be passed on a partisan basis, according to a recent report which claimed that the package, initiated by the Biden administration, wouldn't receive any votes from Republican legislators.
