Seattle area to require COVID jabs for entering indoor venues

Seattle-area will soon mandate its restaurants, bars, and all other indoor venues with the capacity to seat at least 12 to ask its guests for proof of COVID-19 vaccination before entering.

The new health order goes into effect on October 25. and includes museums and stadiums. "I strongly recommend that employers and event organizers require vaccination for the workers and volunteers at the events and establishments covered by this order," County Health Officer Jeff Duchin said.

The decision comes in an effort to stop the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant of the virus, which now accounts for the majority of cases in the US.
