Several missiles downed over Homs, Damascus - reports

Syrian Air Defense managed to shoot down at least nine Israeli missiles over Homs province, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

The missiles came from Lebanon, according to unconfirmed reports, which could mean that the Israeli Air Force could have been involved, local Al-Masdar News reported earlier citing a military source. Missiles targeted Homs Shayrat military airbase and the Syrian army's positions there but a source from the army told Al-Masdar News that the likely target was the T-4 military airport and that several explosions were head in that area. No reports of damage or casualties at the targeted Syrian base were reported.

Arabic media also reported that there was another missile attack against Al Dumayr airbase near Damascus but all three missiles were downed by the Syrian air defenses.
