Ship to load 23,000 tonnes of grain for Ethiopia on Friday

The Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure revealed on Thursday that a cargo ship bound for Ethiopia is to arrive at the country's Pivdennyi port on Friday, and will be loaded with more than 23,000 tonnes of grain aiming to solve famine in East Africa.

The Liberian-flagged vessel "Brave Commander," chartered through the UN World Food Program, will be sent to Ethiopia via Djibouti.

Earlier, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksiy Gromov, stated at a press conference that approximately 375,000 tons of grain cargoes and other products were exported through the sea "grain corridor" since the beginning of August.
