IMF's revision of growth forecast 'good sign' - UK's Johnson

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson (pictured) welcomed on Tuesday the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) revision of the United Kingdom's growth forecast, calling it a "good sign" that the "economy is bouncing back faster than expected."

Johnson wrote a tweet, warning that "there are still challenges ahead" despite the optimistic predictions and the fact that the UK is "forecast to have the joint highest growth rate" among the Group of Seven.

The IMF has left its 2021 global prediction for growth unchanged at 6%, but revised up the forecasts for all the advanced economies, save for Spain.
