Intel tumbles over 3.5% as Apple replaces chips

The shares of Intel Corporation declined on Monday following Apple Inc.'s latest announcements.

During its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple revealed that its new Mac Pro will be using the company's own M2 Ultra chip, ditching Intel's processors. The decision represents a continuation of Apple's efforts to reduce Intel-based chips in its Mac series.

Intel's stock slid 3.73% at 1:32 pm ET, selling at $30.14 apiece.
