Shoigu: No need for nuclear weapons in Ukraine

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu (pictured right) stated on Tuesday that Russia does not need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine. During a speech at the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security, he also alleged that operations performed by the Ukrainian troops are organized by the United States and the United Kingdom.

At the same conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin (pictured left) accused the West of trying to implement a system similar to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to the Asia-Pacific region, a sentiment echoed by Shoigu.
