Israel says it responded to projectile from Syria

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded to a missile launched from Syria towards Israel by conducting an artillery strike at the launch site, according to the army press service. The IDF reported that the projectile was not intercepted as per protocol.

Additionally, an anti-tank missile was fired near its border with Lebanon, falling in a desert area of the village of Yiftah in northern Israel, with no reported casualties. The IDF responded by striking several sites in Lebanon.

This incident follows a reported Israeli strike from the Golan Heights into Syria the previous night, targeting areas near Damascus. Syrian air defenses reportedly intercepted most of the Israeli missiles, causing material damage but no reported casualties.
