Istanbul's BIST 100 jumps over 3% on Erdogan's victory
The Istanbul BIST 100 index soared over 3% on Monday following the election weekend during which Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won the majority of votes to secure another five-year term in the office as the head of the state.
The BIST 100 surged 3.56% or 162 points at 10:13 am CET.
The American currency rose 0.42% against the Turkish lira, trading at $20.06533 at 10:25 am CET.
