Societe Generale's Q4 net income down 30.8% to €1.4B
Societe Generale S.A. reported on Wednesday that its fourth-quarter net income dropped 30.8% year-on-year to €1.4 billion, while operating income fell 5.4% to €1.9 billion. Revenue stood at €2.2 billion, little changed from the same quarter in 2021. For the full year 2022, net income was down 53.5% to €2.9 billion, with operating income rising 3.6% to €7.8 billion. Revenues came to €8.8 billion, a yearly increase of 4.1%. Earnings per share (EPS) plunged 71% to €1.73.
"Building on the commercial momentum of the businesses and the strength of the balance sheet, the Group is confident of being able to reap the benefit of ongoing projects and business developments, confirms its financial guidance for 2025, and is embarking with determination on 2023, a year of transition in many respects," CEO Frederic Oudea said.
