SpaceX launches GPS satellite using reused Falcon 9

Elon Musk's aerospace company SpaceX launched on Thursday next-generation Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite for the United States Space Force at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The GPS III-SV05 satellite was set off on a Falcon 9 rocket, while the operation was the first national security space mission to use a refurbished booster. Mission was completed according to plan.

"Falcon 9's first stage has landed on the Just Read the Instructions droneship, completing this booster's second GPS III flight," SpaceX official Twitter account posted, marking the 19th successful booster recover for 2021 and 88th overall.
