Spanish inflation up to 5.8%
Annual inflation in Spain clocked in at 5.8% in January, breaking the 5-month falling streak, and coming in higher than the 5.7% recorded in December 2022, the country's Statistical Office revealed in its preliminary report on Monday.
Month on month, however, the figure declined 0.3% in January. Meanwhile, consumer prices excluding food and energy jumped 7.5% year over year, with the monthly reading decreasing 0.2%.
