Starmer tests positive for coronavirus

Leader of the British Opposition Sir Keir Starmer has tested positive for COVID-19, the Labour Party confirmed on Wednesday.

Starmer will self-isolate for ten days and therefore miss the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, which he was rumored to be attending. Earlier in the day, he also missed Prime Minister's Questions (PMQ) at the House of Commons before the new budget presentation; he was replaced by Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Shadow Secretary and former Labour leader Ed Miliband.

Starmer recently went into self-isolation for the fourth time after being in contact with a person infected with COVID-19.
