State Department official to travel to China next week
United States Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink will travel to China and New Zealand between June 4 and June 10, the State Department announced on Saturday.
During his visit to Beijing, Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink will be joined by National Security Council Senior Director for China and Taiwan Affairs Sarah Beran. The two US officials are expected to discuss key issues in the bilateral relationship between the US and China with their Chinese counterparts.
In the same week, Kritenbrink is scheduled to speak at the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs Conference. In Wellington, Kritenbrink will participate in the US-New Zealand Strategic Dialogue to discuss topics such as climate change and economic cooperation.
