Sunak to reportedly do mini-reshuffle on Tuesday
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will be conducting a mini-reshuffle tomorrow and is also currently pondering over making major changes to the Whitehall departments, The Times' reporter Steven Swinford wrote on Twitter on Monday.
According to Swinford, Sunak will be announcing former British Chancellor of the Exchequer Nadhim Zahawi's replacement for the Tory chair. Although it is still unclear who will take the position, Greg Hands, trade minister, is currently at the forefront.
Meanwhile, there are speculations that the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) might be broken up, while changes could also be introduced to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). The adjustments in the structure could lead to the creation of new cabinet posts, Swinford concluded.
