Switzerland approves Pfizer vaccine
Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products, granted authorization for the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine on Saturday.
All citizens aged 16 and over can be vaccinated against COVID-19, while two intramuscular injections of the vaccine at least 21 days apart are recommended for optimum protection.
Large-scale vaccination efforts have already begun in the United Kingdom and the United States earlier this month, while the Europea Union is expected to start inoculation on December 27.
