Three UK ministers to quit if Johnson is elected - report

At least three ministers in the current United Kingdom government are considering handing in their resignation if Boris Johnson (pictured) is elected the leader of the Conservative Party and the next prime minister, The Times reported. According to unnamed sources, the ministers are Justice Secretary David Gauke, Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond, and Secretary for International Development Rory Stewart.

All three ministers oppose a no-deal Brexit. Hammond has been especially vocal on the negative effect of such an outcome and has vowed to fight to prevent it. Meanwhile, Gauke called Johnson's Brexit plan "practically impossible."
