Trump: African Americans hit most in US by COVID-19

The coronavirus is mostly affecting African Americans in the United States, President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday. He said that the spread has been "disproportional" and that COVID-19 has become a challenge for the African American community. The president added numbers were "nasty" and will be available soon.

Speaking alongside the president before the press, Dr Anthony Fauci from the White House Coronavirus Task Force added that the reason for this is that the African American community in the US has the most comorbidities that lead to difficult coronavirus cases.

Earlier, Chicago warned that more than 50% of its coronavirus cases have been recorded among African Americans and that 70% were among the deaths.
