Trump asked Zelensky repeatedly to probe Biden - report

United States President Donald Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on more than one occasion to launch an anti-corruption probe into business conducted in the eastern European country by Hunter Biden, son of former Vice President Joe Biden, the Wall Street Journal claimed in a report on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter. Trump's last contact with the Ukrainian president on the matter is believed to have been in a July phone call.

According to the sources, Trump told Zelensky to work with his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani about Hunter Biden's dealings in Ukraine. He told his Ukrainian counterpart that it was important for the US government to know if corruption allegations against Biden are true.

Earlier this month, the US Congress started a probe into Trump's and Giuliani's alleged "pressure" on Ukraine to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden.
