Trump blasts US media coverage of Iran

United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Friday to criticize US media over its "fraudulent and highly inaccurate" coverage of events taking place in Iran. However, Trump added that the result of such "made up" and "dangerous" reporting is that Iran "doesn't know what to think," which he described as "a good thing."

"The Fake News Media is hurting our Country with its fraudulent and highly inaccurate coverage of Iran. It is scattershot, poorly sourced (made up), and DANGEROUS. At least Iran doesn’t know what to think, which at this point may very well be a good thing!" Trump tweeted.

Earlier this week, Trump lashed out at the Washington Post and the New York Times over their reports about infighting within the Trump administration over its Middle East policy. According to the media reports, Trump's National Security Advisor John Bolton and State Secretary Mike Pompeo are favoring a more hawkish approach to Iran that the president himself.
