Trump claims he would win GA after signature check

United States President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Monday to criticize Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for not overruling the state's election results. After a manual recount due to a small margin between Trump and his Democratic opponent, President-elect Joe Biden, Georgia recognized Biden as the winner of its 16 electoral votes. The Trump campaign requested another recount, as authorized by state law.

"Why won’t Governor Brian Kemp, the hapless Governor of Georgia, use his emergency powers, which can be easily done, to overrule his obstinate Secretary of State, and do a match of signatures on envelopes. It will be a “goldmine” of fraud, and we will easily WIN the state. Also, quickly check the number of envelopes versus the number of ballots. You may just find that there are many more ballots than there are envelopes. So simple, and so easy to do. Georgia Republicans are angry, all Republicans are angry. Get it done!" Trump said. However, even if the Republican won Georgia, it would not be enough to change the overall election results, as Biden has 306 electoral votes, compared to Trump's 232, with 270 needed to win the race.
