Trump: Deal with Mexico reached, tariffs suspended

United States President Donald Trump announced that a deal with Mexico was reached and signed, which means that a 5% tariffs on Mexican imports due Monday were suspended indefinitely. US president added that further details on the agreement will be published by the State Department.

"The Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended. Mexico, in turn, has agreed to take strong measures to stem the tide of Migration through Mexico, and to our Southern Border. This is being done to greatly reduce, or eliminate, Illegal Immigration coming from Mexico and into the United States," Trump tweeted.

Previously, the White House announced that the US will impose a 5% tariff on all Mexican goods on June 10 in case the migrant flow wasn't substantially reduced, stating that the levy would be gradually increased unless Mexico complied with the US demands.
