Trump denies Apprentice sequel rumors

In an early-morning tweet on Saturday, US President Donald Trump knocked the mainstream for "falsely reporting" about him considering starting another TV show once his presidency ends. According to rumors first broke by the Daily Beast, Trump is in close touch with the Apprentice creator Mark Burnett and the two are making tentative plans about the show titled The Apprentice: White House.

"Fake News is reporting that I am talking to Mark Burnett about doing a big show, perhaps The Apprentice, after the presidency, which I would assume they mean in 5 years. This is not true, never had such a conversation, don’t even have time to think about it. False reporting!" Trump said in a Twitter post.

"It [new TV show] is something Burnett thinks could be a money-spinner and Trump is very keen on doing," the person familiar with the talks reportedly said.

The Apprentice has been running on NBC since 2004 and was hosted by President Trump up until 2015 when he announced he would be running for president.
