Trump expects new COVID-19 deaths to subside by June

United States President Donald Trump said on Monday he expects the number of new deaths due to coronavirus to be brought down to a "very little number" by June.

In an interview on Fox News, he added that the peak in new deaths and infections will probably come at around Easter and start falling shortly after and the country "should" have enough equipment to handle it.

The decision to extend self-distancing guidelines through the end of April was made in consultation with experts, most notably Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx, Trump underlined.
