Trump: Google's Pichai committed to US military

United States President Donald Trump discussed Google's work in China with Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai (pictured) amid claims the tech company has been indirectly benefiting the Chinese military. In a tweet posted on Wednesday, Trump said the two talked about "political fairness" among other issues during their meeting that "ended very well."

"Just met with @sundarpichai, President of @Google, who is obviously doing quite well. He stated strongly that he is totally committed to the US Military, not the Chinese Military. Also discussed political fairness and various things that @Google can do for our Country. Meeting ended very well!" he wrote.

Pichai met earlier with General Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, in Washington, who previously stated: "We watch with great concern when industry partners work in China knowing that there is that indirect benefit." "The work that Google is doing in China is indirectly benefiting the Chinese military," he explained earlier this month at a hearing before the Senate Armed Services Committee.
