Trump: I got NATO leaders to pay $130B more yearly

United States President Donald Trump took credit on Wednesday for arranging other NATO countries' increase in payment to the alliance. He also complained about the negative media portrayal of his meetings with leaders of NATO member countries during the alliance's summit in London.

Trump wrote in a tweet: "The Fake News Media is doing everything possible to belittle my VERY successful trip to London for NATO. I got along great with the NATO leaders, even getting them to pay $130 Billion a year more, & $400 Billion a year more in 3 years. No increase for U.S., only deep respect!"

During the summit, Trump suggested that other NATO members should raise their stake in financing the alliance to 4% of national GDP.
