Trump, Johnson discuss 'diplomatic response' to Aramco attack

United States President Donald Trump and United Kingdom Prime Minister discussed on Wednesday the need for a "united diplomatic response," No 10 Downing Street announced.

Over the phone, the two leaders condemned the attacks and exchanged views on whether the situation requires a diplomatic response and agreed that Iran must not be allowed to have a nuclear weapon. Trump and Johnson also "briefly discussed Brexit and looked forward to United Nations General Assembly next week," the statement said.

The announcement comes after Saudi Arabia revealed evidence which suggested that debris of missiles and drones found at the impact site belonged to Iran and were launched by the Islamic Republic, despite the Houthi rebel group claiming responsibility for the attacks right after the incident.
