Trump signs executive immigration order on asylum

United States Donald Trump signed on Friday an executive immigration order on asylum, media reported. The president announced he will be issuing the executive actions to restrict asylum seekers at the US-Mexico border amid controversy surrounding the migrant caravan from Central America on Thursday. The new rule bars aliens who cross the southern border illegally from seeking asylum in the US.

"We need people in our country but they have to come in legally and they have to have merit," said Trump before jetting off to Paris to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the WWI where he will meet other world leaders. Russian President Vladimir Putin is also set to attend.
