Trump signs order to stop IT sector outsourcing

The United States President Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at ensuring that the jobs in the country's IT sector are first offered to the workers from the US, the White House revealed on Monday.

The decision comes after the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) announced its plans to replace approximately 20% of its technology positions with H-1B visa holders, a move that is "expected to cost the local economy tens of millions of dollars over the next 5 years," according to the statement.

Before signing the order, Trump blasted the TVA's actions and announced "firm disciplinary measures," against the company, including removing two members of its board.
