Trump: Talks with China going well

Trade talks between the United States and China are "going well," President Donald Trump said on Wednesday in London. He added that the US wants to have "fairness in trade" with all partners. He commented about the China deal: "We will see what happens."

Speaking at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit besides German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Trump noted that the US and the European Union are also holding talks to reach an agreement on trade and stressed that he thinks they will "work out" all issues. Merkel added that the new European Commission represents a "good basis" for successful talks with the US.

Trump went on to hail trade agreements reached by his administration with South Korea and Japan and called on the US Democrats to adopt the United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) deal.
