Trump threatens to put tariffs on $325B of Chinese goods

United States President Donald Trump threatened on Wednesday that he will introduce tariffs on $325B of Chinese goods unless his country reaches a trade deal with Beijing. However, the US president noted that he has "a feeling" the agreement will be reached.

Commenting on protests in Hong Kong, Trump said he hopes Hong Kong and China will be able to find a solution to their differences.

Trump said last week that he was prepared to add tariffs on $300 billion worth of Chinese products and noted that he introduced tariffs because the US was being held "captive" by some countries.
