Trump: US, UK to demand denuclearization from N. Korea

United States President Donald Trump said on Friday in Buckinghamshire that the US and the UK agreed to increase military cooperation and demand denuclearization from North Korea. Trump noted that the two countries are bound by common heritage and values and added that the UK is one of only five NATO members to comply with their defense spending obligations within the organization. On Thursday, Trump got NATO members to commit to achieving defense spending of 2% of their GDP.

Trump stressed that Prime Minister Theresa May and he agree on the importance of denuclearization of North Korea and on making sure Iran never possesses a nuclear weapon. The president noted the two countries also agreed to increase trade and military cooperation.

The US president is on a working visit to the UK and will continue his European trip by meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland on Monday.
