Trump: US will not use energy to coerce countries

The United States will “never use energy to coerce countries,” and added that it will also not allow other to do so. Speaking at the Three Seas Initiative in Warsaw, Trump told member states of the group that the US is “willing and able” to help them with their energy needs and also any other needs that come along.

The president noted that he supports a “common sense approach” to energy policy in which energy security, job creation and environmental protection must be in balance.

Trump also used the opportunity, while speaking in front of leaders of Central and Easter Europe, to promote US military equipment. He commented that he hope they will be “thinking” of the US when they decide to update or enhance their arsenals.

The Three Seas Initiative gathers 12 EU nations of the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Seas.
