Trump: Whistleblowers disappeared

United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that stocks "went to the roof" when he got elected in 2016 because the country "got rid of" former President Barack Obama and Democratic standard-bearer Hillary Clinton. The opposition wants impeachment "as quickly as possible" but the initiative is "dying off fast" and it is on "artificial respiration," he claimed. Trump said both alleged whistleblowers and an informant have "disappeared" and he asked where they are.

"They're interviewing ambassadors who I'd never heard of," the president stated and repeated that some of them actually took his side even though they were brought by the Democrats. The impeachment inquiry "is so illegitimate," he asserted and added the economy is the strongest ever.
