Truss prepared to deliver N. Ireland Protocol bill

United Kingdom Foreign Minister Liz Truss stated on Wednesday that she is prepared to deliver the Northern Ireland Protocol bill, even if she faces opposition in the parliament.

The bill to sort out the disputes with the European Union over goods traveling between Britain and Northern Ireland would require bipartisan support, which the prime minister candidate would not have at the start of her potential term.

The EU launched four new infringement procedures in July against the UK related to Brexit requirements on the movement of goods from Northern Ireland to Great Britain.
