Truss: Russia could face tough sanctions over Ukraine

United Kingdom Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said on Wednesday that Britain will target Russia with "tough economic sanctions" in case it invades Ukraine, echoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson's comments.

Truss described Moscow's behavior as "very worrying" and noted any potential sanctions will be coordinated with the United States and the European Union. She noted the measures, that will be presented later this week, would target companies and individuals, and refused to rule out sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Earlier this week, US President Joe Biden said it is "possible" Putin will face sanctions if he decides to invade Ukraine.
