TSE close to extending trading hours in 2024 - report

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) has made another move towards extending its trading hours by 30 minutes by setting 2024 as the date for that, Nikkei reported on Friday.

According to an internal report seen by Nikkei, the extension should give a push to Japan's market in terms of both investors' participation and prices of stocks. The TSE currently operates from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. An hour-long pause is held at 11:30 am.

The news follows the report the TSE is planning to extend its trading hours by 30 minutes to attract more foreign investors.
