Uber's revenue doubles to $3.93 billion in Q2

Uber Technologies Inc. said on Wednesday that its revenue doubled to $3.93 billion in the second quarter of 2021, beating market estimates. The American ride-hailing company reported a net income of $1.14 billion.

"As we make progress towards that important milestone, we expect our Adjusted EBITDA loss in Q3 to improve to less than $100 million in addition to record Gross Bookings between $22 and $24 billion," CEO Dara Khosrowshahi noted.

Uber's mobility gross bookings annually soared 184% to $8.6 billion, while delivery jumped by 85% to $12.9 billion. However, the company's stocks tumbled 6.89% in the after-hours trading to $38.86 per share following the earnings announcement.
