UK adults to be offered both vaccine doses by August

The head of the United Kingdom's vaccine task force, Clive Dix, told Sky News on Tuesday that every adult in the UK may be offered both doses of COVID-19 vaccine by August-September or even sooner as he doesn't see any supply problems.

Dix explained supply security by "portfolio approach," thanks to which the UK will have access to seven different vaccine manufacturers. "And, once they're [vaccines] approved, we've got those as back up. It's a very low risk we wouldn't have vaccine," the official says.

So far, over 15 million Britons received coronavirus shots. Everyone in the top four priority groups have already been offered a vaccine, the next five top priority groups could be done by April.
