UK agrees to extend EU's Brexit ratification period

The United Kingdom has agreed to extend the timeframe the European Union has to ratify the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement until April 30, British Cabinet Minister Michael Gove confirmed on Tuesday.

Gove also told European Commission Vice-President for Interinstitutional Relations, Maros Sefcovic, London expected there would be "no more delays."

The news comes after the EU reportedly rejected Britain's proposal to extend the grace period for trade relations between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK to settle for two years.
