UK MPs sue Johnson over 'Kremlin meddling' inaction

A group consisting of six United Kingdom Members of Parliament (MPs) has taken legal action against Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday over his alleged lack of action to investigate supposed "Russian interference" in the 2016 Brexit referendum.

The lawmakers filed the claim with the aim to make the government conduct a probe into the allegations, after the Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament (ISC) said in July that Whitehall did not take action to fully examine the accusations against Moscow.

Since there was no evidence of any success of the alleged meddling, the government subsequently dismissed the ISC's request for a comprehensive investigation.
