UK, New Zealand agree on trade deal

The United Kingdom and New Zealand announced they concluded a trade agreement after 16 months of negotiations. The two sides stated the deal will "cut red tape for businesses, end tariffs on UK exports and create new opportunities for tech and services companies, while making it easier for UK professionals to live and work in New Zealand."

The agreement includes decisions to remove tariffs on exports and other trade barriers, as well as facilitate visa programs and government contracts. Trade between the UK and New Zealand was worth around £2.3 billion last year.
