The number of COVID-19 cases in the United Kingdom reached its lowest point since December 14 on Sunday with 70,924 reported infections. However, the figure did not include cases from Scotland due to a technical issue. The country has so far seen 15,217,280 infections, with the number falling by 38% within the last seven days compared to the previous seven-day period.

There have also been 88 deaths, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 151,987. So far, 83.3% of the population aged 12 and over have had a second vaccine dose, while 63.3% have had a booster or third dose.
