UK to give priority to Ireland for any spare vaccines - report

Ireland will be the first country to be offered any spare coronavirus vaccines the United Kingdom could have, the Telegraph reported. An unnamed government source said the UK is considering sharing the rest of its vaccine doses after it receives enough shots for its inoculation program.

According to the report, vaccines will not be offered to other countries before the government meets its target of vaccinating all citizens over the age of 50 by the middle of spring. "Any offer to share vaccines would depend on the volumes delivered to Britain in coming months and the country's ability to fulfil Mr Johnson's aim of vaccinating all UK adults by the autumn," the Telegraph claimed.
