UK to remove half of countries from red list - report

The British government will remove more than 50% of the countries from the so-called "red list" in order to facilitate travel, The Times report on Thursday, citing its sources within the cabinet.

The announcement, reportedly expected tomorrow, will also include the scrapping of the "amber" category, the outlet explained.

According to the current regulations, travelers coming back from the red-list countries have to book a quarantine hotel package, along with two COVID-19 tests.
