UK, WTO will work to ramp up vaccine supply worldwide - Truss
British Secretary of State for International Trade Liz Truss (pictured) said on Tuesday that the United Kingdom is working with the World Trade Organization (WTO) in order to find a way to increase the COVID-19 vaccine supply around the world.
In an interview with Sky News, Truss underlined the need to help India's "immediate COVID crisis," adding that the two countries will enter talks on the "full free trade agreement this autumn."
When asked whether London can share some of its vaccine supply with New Delhi, Truss pointed out that the UK is already "the third-largest donor" of the COVAX vaccine program, and added that Britain will send personal protective equipment to India.
