Ukrainian deputy foreign minister welcomes Trudeau to Kiev
Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andriy Melnyk took to Twitter on Saturday to welcome Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to Kiev.
Melnyk's tweet included a photograph capturing the moment of their handshake on the platform of a train station.
Trudeau's visit to Kiev was meant to demonstrate Canada's support for Ukraine's ongoing efforts to counter Russia's military operation in the country, according to Ottawa.
