Uniper CFO to step down in 2023

German energy giant Uniper SE announced on Friday that Chief Financial Officer Tiina Tuomela will be leaving the company at the end of March next year.

Uniper's Supervisory Board reached a mutual agreement with Tuomela to terminate her employment as well as her Board of Management appointment, with the decision on her successor to be "made in due course," the company said in a statement. The move comes two days after the company declared a major reshuffle, revealing that the government will appoint two future members of the Supervisory Board.

Earlier today, the European Commission approved the acquisition of Uniper by the German government, allowing the country to go forward with its plan to nationalize the gas company which almost fell apart after Russia stopped gas deliveries.
